Supply and Demand Planner (m/f)

Our client operates within the industrial sector and maintains a presence across multiple European countries.

Position

Reporting to the CSR and Planning Manager, the Supply and Demand Planner is responsible for matching the organization’s resources with the customer’s demand to meet customer’s expectations, maximize output and minimize production costs. Examples of resources include production facilities and plants, departments, work units or networks. Activities include:

  • Determine resource loads and optimal inventory levels, by balancing production within /between the European plants and production lines.
  • Analyze operational data such as output, downtime, absenteeism, shortages and quality specifications;

  • Identify peak usage times and potential bottlenecks;

  • Create and maintain forecast models

  • Coordinate production needs with the schedulers and Raw material purchasers in the plants

  • Anticipate conflicts (customer, product, RM or production related)

  • Control the ‘on time and in full’ production;

  • All ERP related activities to keep system up-to-date and in line with both internal and external

    situation

  • Prepare and assist to departmental and pan-departmental meetings such as production meetings,

    S&DB meetings and S&OP meetings

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing customer needs versus internal capabilities

  • Make adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems

    or improve effectiveness of job area;

  • Performs all other additional projects and duties as assigned by management.

Profile

    • Bachelor degree in Logistics/ SC management or equivalent domain

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar function

    • Excellent knowledge of SC businesses and processes

    • Fluent in English; another language (especially French) is an asset

    • Customer-oriented

    • Ability to work under pressure

    • Good organizational and analytical skills

    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office : Outlook, Excel, Word

    • ERP knowledge (JDE) and knowledge of advanced planning systems is an advantage.
