IT System Engineer (m/f)

For the last 40 years, our client has been a prominent IT services provider in Luxembourg. Their expertise lies in the installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, and they cater to a diverse range of clients, including major players in the Luxembourg economy.
As an IT Engineer, you will support Luxembourgish clients for their infrastructure set-up, as well as attend the premises of our professional clients to resolve problems and/or to provide assistance to their internal IT departments.
Poste
- Configure and set up workstations and infrastructure solutions,
- Understand the client’s needs and propose adequate solutions,
- Attend clients’ premises to resolve issues and/or assist their internal IT department,
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software and networks,
- Maintain and update clients’ IT systems,
- Monitor the systems to identify potential issues before they become critical,
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients and other stakeholders.
Profil
- At least 3 years of experience in IT, preferably in a similar position,
- In-depth knowledge of PC hardware and of IT networks,
- Great command of English; any other language spoken in Luxembourg would be considered an asset,
- Expertise in operating systems (Windows),
- A great general understanding of the functioning of an infrastructure (switches, firewalls, servers, etc.),
- Experience in infrastructure (on-prem/hybrid or cloud) setup,
- Knowledge of data storage solutions (on-site or cloud),
- Experience in M365/Entra,
- Knowledge in the following solutions (or equivalent): HyperV, Active Directory, Online Exchange, VLAN Management, site-to-site IPSEC, VPN, DNS transfer, VPN setup.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and to communicate effectively,
- Driving licence.
