Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/f)

Our client is an innovative air technology company developing advanced, intelligent flight and control solutions. To support the growth of its R&D activities in Luxembourg, the company is looking to strengthen its engineering team with a Senior Embedded Software Developer position.
This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to make a direct impact on cutting-edge airborne systems.
Position
- Develop core platform software and mission orchestration systems supporting advanced air platforms
- Design, optimize and maintain embedded software solutions integrating firmware, control hardware, AI perception modules and coordinated system behaviors
- Translate system-level requirements into scalable, robust and safe software architectures
- Develop and integrate drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
- Build middleware layers connecting firmware, flight control systems and high-level mission logic
- Develop mission planning and execution software, including system readiness checks, trajectory optimization, and operational reporting
Work closely with hardware, firmware and PCB teams on system integration, testing and debugging
Profile
- Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, ideally within in fast-paced, scalable and production-oriented environments
- Strong technical background including C/C++ and Python, embedded Linus, RTOS, middleware, ARM-based platforms, embedded communications, HIL/HITL testing and simulation environments
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to perform technical calculations and run simulations
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams of domain experts
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory
