AI & Algorithm Engineer (m/f)

Our client is an innovative air technology company developing advanced, intelligent flight and control solutions. To support the growth of its R&D activities in Luxembourg, the company is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an AI and Algorithm Engineer position.
The ideal candidate combines strong theorical foundations with hands-on implementation skills, enabling the delivery of production-ready, real-time algorithms for safety-critical air systems.
Position
- Develop real-time algorithms for perception tasks such as detection, tracking and visual SLAM
- Optimize machine learning and deep learning models for deployment on embedded hardware
- Implement vision-based pose estimation and feature tracking algorithms
- Design and tune Kalman filters and multi-sensor fusion systems
- Develop motion estimation and trajectory generation algorithms
- Contribute to collision avoidance and coordinated system behaviors
- Integrate algorithms with control and guidance systems
- Validate algorithm performance through simulation and real-world test campaigns
- Analyze results, iterate and designs, and produce clear technical documentation
Profile
- Master’s degree or PhD in relevant technical field (Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Control Systems or similar)
- At least 5 years of experience in computer vision, estimation or advanced algorithm development for real-time systems
- Strong expertise in vision algorithms, state estimation and sensor fusion
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Experience working with embedded systems and simulation environments
- Strong mathematical background combined with clear communication skills
- Experience with coordinated multi-system algorithms, edge AI optimization, and advanced navigation techniques in constrained environments is considered a strong asset
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory
