Senior Firmware Developer (m/f)
Company
Our client is an innovative air technology company developing advanced, intelligent flight and control solutions. To support the growth of its R&D activities in Luxembourg, the company is looking to strengthen its engineering team with a Senior Firmware Developer position.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing low-level software running on microcontrollers under strict resource constraints, supporting real-time processes and advanced signal processing applications.
Position
- Translate system level requirements into detailed firmware-level specifications
- Analyze, adapt and integrate existing software (internally developed or open source) to meet project requirements
- Develop bare-metal firmware, including service layers, as well as application-level real-time software (eg. control state machines, signal processing modules, timing or waveform generators, etc.)
- Design and implement application-level test benches
- Debug low-level software in close collaboration with Electronic Engineers (PCB designers)
- Ensure code quality, readability and maintainability using version control systems
- Prepare and maintain clear technical project documentation
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in firmware and embedded software development, ideallly in environments focused on scalability, efficiency and high-quality production
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (electronics, mechanics, software, systems engineering, etc.)
Professional proficiency in English is mandatory
