Accountant – Industry (m/f)
Company
Our client is a prominent player in the industrial sector, specializing in innovative production solutions across multiple markets. They are looking to recruit an Accountant for their office in Luxembourg.
Position
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of journal entries while maintaining the general ledger in compliance with local standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting duties such as bookkeeping, and accounts receivable, while also overseeing cash balances and bank transactions.
- Support year-end processes by assisting with inventory reconciliation and related activities.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable and internal accounts, ensuring alignment with customer data and delivery records.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of VAT returns, EU trade compliance reporting, and assist with both monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Provide auditors, regulators, and other external parties with the necessary financial documentation and data upon request.
- Recommend and drive improvements in financial processes, focusing on areas like accounts payable/receivable, billing, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and support efforts to enhance operational processes.
- Analyze and interpret accounting data to prepare comprehensive reports that assist management with their decision-making process.
- Ensure proper alignment of data entries with group reporting systems, maintaining consistency with company standards.
Profile
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Fluent in English – good command in French
- Experience in LuxGAAP is required
- Hands-on experience with inventory management and related processes.
- Solid understanding of accruals, VAT, and income tax regulations.
